For Files Already in our Facility:
In accordance with your company's retention policies, we will provide you with a report of items scheduled for destruction. It is also a way to keep storage costs at a minimum by having documents destroyed on a regular interval. Once you approve we will shred those documents in accordance with NAID guidelines and privacy policies and a Certificate of Destruction will be issued with your invoice.
We thought computers were supposed to eliminate paper?
Consider these statistics:
- Since 1982, production of office paper has grown 60%
- U.S. businesses generate approximately 1 trillion new pieces of paper every year
- Email, which was supposed to reduce paper usage, resulted in a 40% increase
- U.S. paper consumption will grow from 44 to 66 million tons between 1995 and 2015
Organizations have the added concerns of confidentiality (U.S. businesses lost more than seven billion dollars to corporate espionage last year) and compliance. For help in setting up your destruction policy and a free analysis and review, please Contact Us or call NDX Archives at 410-744-5111.
